About Kuro

Background: Kuro is a wolf who is cursed by the water goddess Shalow, and has the ability to control the element of water. She has black angel wings that appear on her back when she wills them to, but rarely uses them. Her star markings are a symbol of her cosmic fate. Kuro has trauma regarding a twin sister that died shortly after she was born (her parents Mokuzai and Reigen tried to kill them both for being “dark” in color, despite Kuro’s mother being a black wolf herself), and Kuro’s parents blame her for this unfortunate event. She struggles to find others that love her and treat her fairly, but she is determined to make connections. Kuro suffers from depression, anxiety, and CPTSD.

Background: Marie is Kuro’s feline counterpart in a parallel universe. For the longest time, Marie did not know her name nor where she came from until a raven flew over her and called her Marie. The raven was Kuro’s spirit in Marie’s dimension, and she taught Marie how to be both a lover and a fighter. With this knowledge, Marie learned to harness incredible power. She grew dragon wings that allowed her to take flight and she gained the power of lightning. When Marie met Neo, her new lover, she finally began to understand what the raven meant by “love” and how it comes to be. She is skeptical, but eventually becomes a warm and protective figure for Neo, offering her both companionship and the excitement and pleasures that come with falling in love.

Background: Britty Bear is a sentient stuffed bear with lifelike qualities. She is often mistaken for a child’s toy, and is very bitter about it. Her soul is bound to her stuffed animal body due to her creator’s imagination turned real, but her emotions are that of a young girl. Britty is clever yet also has a twisted sense of humor, which is generally chalked up to her soul’s bond to a stuffed toy. She can be found playing with music boxes (both ironically and unironically to scare people) as well as putting on risque and “mature” dances for fun. Britty does not have reproductive organs, so she doesn’t seem to find her dancing inappropriate.
